Samuel Knox passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 12, 2016 at the age of 75. He is survived by Phyllis (nee Scott), his loving wife and best friend of 54 years.

Sam is the loving father of Cynthia Jean Tucci (Vincent James), Samuel John Knox (Anna Mae) and Vickie Lynne O'Connell (Charles Michael, Jr). He is the grandfather of Melanie Marie, Vincent James, Jr., Kacie Lynne, Anna Mae, Amanda Grace Elizabeth, Charles Michael, III and Paige Murphy. Sam is also survived by his devoted sister-in-law, Carol Ann Scott. He was preceded in death by Samuel and Mabel Knox and his brother, Armour.

Sam was a guest of the Masonic Boys Home in Elizabethtown, PA from 1954 – 1959. He also graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 1959.

Samuel will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and a dedicated employee of Temple University for 48 years performing a job that he loved. One of Sam's greatest gifts that he gave to all of us was his wonderful sense of humor. He touched the lives of everyone he knew and will remembered by all forever.

The family invites all who knew and loved Sam to his viewing on Friday, December 16, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Harold B. Mulligan Funeral Home at 11010 Knights Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. Funeral services and interment will be private.
