“Santa’s On His Way”

Here is a poem written for the children, or grandchildren.

“Santa’s On His Way”
by Don Xander

Santa’s at the North Pole,
But he is not alone.
The elves are at the workshop,
And Mrs. Claus is home.
They are getting ready,
For all on Christmas day.
The elves are making toys,
And Santa checks his sleigh.

He’s checking all the reindeer,
To make sure that they can fly.
To pull the sleigh on Christmas eve,
Way up in the sky.
He’s also checking out his list,
To see who’s bad or good.
So be good for goodness sake,
You know that you should.

Now Billy wants a brand new bike,
And Susan wants a doll.
Linda wants a pair of skates,
And Bobby wants a ball.
Eddie wants a remote car,
Betty all things pokemon,
The elves are working overtime,
To make sure that they get done.

Mrs. Claus is baking,
And cooking up a storm,
Cookies, Turkeys, and the rest,
With Cocoa to keep warm.
No one will go hungry,
Cause she is in charge
This is half the reason,
Santa is so large.

Santa will be coming,
On eve of Christmas day.
Bringing toys to girls and boys,
He loads upon his sleigh.
Now the rest is up to you,
Be good each and every day.
So he stops at your house,
Cause “Santa’s On His Way”!
